About the game

The game is a dark fairy-tale Metroidvania starring Glimmer, a small bird carrying a burning matchstick. Search a sprawling, interconnected kingdom for seven Golden Feathers to rescue Glimmer's family and gain entry to Queen's Castle. New movement abilities steadily open old paths, while tents provide manual saves, upgrades, shops, map tools, and eventually fast travel. The journey rewards careful exploration, but a marker placed now is often better than forcing a route meant for a later ability.

  4. 4Collect seven Golden FeathersComplete reachable major objectives, then return to Queen's Castle when the counter reaches 7/7.

Well Dweller Map

Use the map to plan ability backtracking, find essential quest routes, and distinguish a locked room from the switch that opens it.

  • Night Garden and Hunter's Cabin

The opening route introduces Slingshot and the first major return trip.

  • The Drains

Track Wind Ride, Elevator Parts, the broken lift, and the route to Lady of the Drains.

  • Collectibles and hidden paths

Find trinkets, spirits, pages, Workshop Tokens, and breakable walls.

Well Dweller All Bosses

Major bosses often guard feathers, routes, or key progression. Learn what to bring and when a ranged vessel is safer than standing close.

  • The Groundskeeper

An early gate on the way to Hunter's Cabin and the first real test of reading attacks.

  • The Swarm

Keep the Flaming Vessel ready for phases that pull the target beyond matchstick range.

  • Lady of the Drains

The repaired elevator leads to this required fight and an important Golden Feather.

Well Dweller Ability Guide

If a route seems impossible, it usually needs an ability you have not collected yet. Prioritize progression over exhaustive early backtracking.

  1. 1SlingshotThrow the matchstick into a wall and bounce from it for extra height.
  2. 2Climb and Tent TravelOpen vertical paths, then fast travel among tents you have already discovered.
  3. 3Wind Ride and HoverUse wind currents and midair control to reach deeper shafts and wide gaps.
  4. 4SoarThis late-game ability is needed for post-game exploration, so leave its blocked routes for later.

Well Dweller Endings and Secret Ending

Finish the main route first, then continue on the same save to explore the post-credits path and remaining late-game objectives.

  • Main ending route

Bring all seven Golden Feathers to Queen's Castle and complete the final story path.

  • Post-game route

Keep playing after the credits; late abilities and unresolved routes still have a purpose.

  • Secret ending checklist

Use the ending guide to track the requirements without spoiling more than necessary.

  • Exploration-focused run

Expect more time for side paths, trinkets, map markers, and ability-based backtracking.
